We offer many fantastic experiences for children including a barnyard with animals, a bike track and wonderful shaded areas and their most recent attraction is the very popular jungle themed water park.
At Avoca Kids we provide morning tea/afternoon tea, and nappies. Avoca Kids Early learning Centre provides Long Day Care as well as a funded kindergarten in Bundaberg for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years 52 weeks a year from 6.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.

Hello, my name is Teresa Fensom, I’m the Director at Avoca Kids ELC and I have been here from the day we opened in 2009.
I came to this centre from a much larger corporate service provider and have never looked back. I have been in the industry for over 15yrs and started as a relief staff member and quickly climbed the ladder to take on the role of Director and then Area Manager supporting services between Cairns and Deception Bay.
As much as I loved my job, when my husband and I made the decision to start a family I knew I wanted to return to the role of Director to allow me to be at home every day. My son was the first child to be enrolled at Avoca Kids, he came to work with me every day and has now taken the big step to school but joins me each afternoon with a great group of after school care kids.
As a Director I pride myself on the great relationships I have with the children, families and educators from this centre and really believe there couldn’t possibly be a more rewarding profession. We see the good, we see the not so good, they come, they go, but if we make the most of the opportunities we can really make a difference one child at a time.
Hello my name is Helen Harris, and I’m the Assistant Director at Avoca Kids ELC.
I started in childcare in 2000 as a group leader in a 2-3yrs room for several years and then accepted a position as the Assistant Director at a sister centre within the same company. After a couple of years I took over as the Director and while in that position fell pregnant and welcomed my first child (Paige, now 8) into the world.
When I returned to work I took on a new position with a different company working as Director and assistant Regional Manager. Over the next few years I was blessed with 2 more children (a boy Taj, now 6 and another girl Ruby, now 4) and they keep me very busy with all of the sports they do.
I’m currently renovating my house, I love to play netball, spend time at the beach and going for bike rides to local parks with my kiddies. I thoroughly enjoy working in childcare and couldn’t ever see myself doing anything different
